Kirsten and Kim

Oh my goodness, you guys...i am terribly elated and still reeling today. the other day i checked my myspace and i got the coolest message from one of my favourite models....Kirsten Pieters! I also noticed that the ever-cool and stoic Kim Peers was on her friends list. Kirsten actually contacted me as I had put her name down in my profile interests. She isn't modelling much as she's doing theatre now in Brussels(perfect avenue for her!) but she still has that amazing character I don't think anybody could ever equate in this business again. And btw, both girls are terribly sweet and down-to-earth. Belgian girls,I know. lol Kim,I dunno if I ruminated about, but when I was in Antwerp it was she I saw pedalling her way around the corner from Nationalestraat....and I told Ninette this when I returned and she quite coincidentally ended up doing a portrait of her and relayed my giddiness to Kim. And she remembers this, btw! lol

anyway,i wanted to show the girls on here as i think they are quite possibly two of the most immensely charactered models to ever pose in front of a camera and grace a catwalk. sort of nostalgia in away because for me they were definitely two girls i really adored. and i am by no means,a model fanatic either.

Kirsten-

Kim-

Patchwork bustier with raw top-stitching(a la Persoons)....

It doesn't REALLY matter but I was curious as I would like to know more about whosoever's work? Please tell me it's not Galliano, either otherwise I would be a total hypocrite *lol*

Hey K,if you have the chance go see Ladytron in St. Petersburg...they're playing the 1st...this weekend. If I'm still in Boston in September(going for a family reunion)I'm going to try and get tickets when they play there the 30th. I love Witching Hour. And that new video of their's is brilliant!!

Btw,I suggest everybody sign up for a My Space account. I know it seems a bit overrated but it's a great place for band spaces. I'm already friends with Goldfrapp and Danish,Berlin-based singer Alice Rose. Not much in the way of fashion networking,as of yet, unfortunately.

I love Christina Ricci and I love LRRH...so what joy it is that stumble upon this. What a great combination. Has anybody seen this short film? I never knew it existed till a few days ago. This was the beginning,I think in her elvolution from cheese-mill/teen flicks into stuff with a bit more substance. Quentin Crisp did the narration which I think is pretty interesting.
